Special Considerations

Some missions need additional review.

Special Flight Permit

Documentation, maintenance input, insurance limitations, and operational feasibility must be reviewed.

International or Cross-Border Route

Customs, permits, insurance territory limits, overwater planning, and documentation may apply.

Inactive Aircraft

Inactive aircraft may require more detailed review of aircraft status, inspection status, maintenance history, and squawks.

Maintenance Repositioning

Shop coordination, discrepancy review, access details, and timing may be needed.

Broker or Dealer Delivery

Closing timing, buyer/seller coordination, prebuy status, and handoff expectations may apply.

Owner-Assist or Second-Pilot Support

Insurance limitations, pilot roles, route complexity, and expectations must be clear.

Service Boundary

Important Service Boundary

AFS does not provide passenger transportation, public charter, air taxi, scheduled service, common carriage, cargo carriage, airline service, travel booking, cargo shipping, flight school services, insurance brokerage, legal services, maintenance services, maintenance signoffs, or airworthiness approvals. Services are quote-based and subject to mission review. The pilot in command retains final authority and responsibility for flight safety and operational decisions.
